Preamble

Article 1: Rights holders
The rights to lessons, books, videos, grades, tests, and software may belong to the academy, institution, Canadian entity, African entity, training service provider, or external author. The right holder is determined according to the contract, notice, or mark affixed to the material.
Article 2: The license granted to the trainee
Unless otherwise stated, the trainee is granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the content during the access period for his own learning purposes.
Article 3: Permitted uses
It is permissible, within the limits of interface and law:
- Watch and study the content;
- Download files for which a download option appears;
- Print a reasonable personal copy;
- Cite a short excerpt with source attribution;
- Using material in an internal assessment according to instructions.
Article 4: Prohibited uses
It is prohibited without permission or legal exception:
- Republish, sell or rent content;
- Restricted account or file sharing;
- Record or copy an entire session without permission;
- remove the mark or rights statements;
- translate, modify or create a commercial derivative copy;
- Automatically extract content or enter it into a general artificial intelligence model;
- Use questions or answers to facilitate cheating.
Article 5: License period
Access expires on the stated date, but files permitted for download may be retained for personal use unless otherwise stated in the license. Publication and confidentiality restrictions will continue after completion.
Article 6: Content of the Canadian entity
If the partnership agreement stipulates that ownership of courses or materials remains with the Canadian entity, ownership does not transfer to the academy or the trainee. Use is limited to authorized programs, regions, and periods.
Article 7: Trainee content
The trainee remains the owner of his original work. It grants the Academy a limited license to host it, correct it, examine its integrity, preserve it, and prove the result. His name or work shall not be published for marketing or as a public model without independent approval, unless he himself has posted it in a public space by express choice.
Article 8: Collective duties
Participants' contributions and rights to use the output within the program are determined. Do not attribute the collective work to one person in a way that misleads the authors.
Article 9: Recording of sessions
POL-12 and POL-20 describe Purpose, Perception and Retention. The trainee may not record the teacher or his colleagues or republish the recording without permission or legal authority.
Article 10: External sources
Books, articles, videos and external software are subject to their owners' terms. A limited link or inclusion does not mean that any rights are transferred to the Academy.
Article 11: Legal exceptions
This policy does not abrogate a mandatory right or exception such as quotation or fair dealing within its legal limits. The purpose, amount, percentage of source, and stipulated conditions must be respected.
Article 12: Accessible materials
An alternative version can be prepared when needed in accordance with the law and POL-17, while preserving the rights of the content owner and preventing the distribution of the version outside of its intended purpose.
Article 13: Report a violation
The report is sent specifying the article, link, claimed right, contact information, and a declaration of good faith. Content can be temporarily quarantined, and the uploader is given the opportunity to respond when appropriate.
Article 14: Penalties
Risk, intent and repetition are taken into account. It may include removal of material, warning, restriction or disciplinary action, with the right of response and review in accordance with POL-18.
Article 15: Use of the name and logo
The license does not allow the trainee to use the logo or name of the academy, the Canadian entity, or the African entity to suggest official representation, accreditation, or fundraising.
Article 16: Communication
License requests or rights notices should be addressed to [email protected] with the subject line “Intellectual Property”.
